Circles South West Training Events for Professionals, Summer 2021

Circles South West have announced their upcoming schedule for professional training events for summer 2021.

These 1 day training courses are being held face to face across the region to be as accessible to as many delegates as possible – with two interesting and highly relevant subjects for those who work with people who have sexually harmed.

WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEXUALLY HARMED: A THEORETICAL & PRACTICAL TRAINING DAY

This training will be of interest to professionals working with adults and young people who have sexually harmed, have convictions for sexual offending or are at risk of doing so. The training will increase delegates’ knowledge and understanding of theories around why people sexually harm, the prevalence of such behaviour, risk assessment and risk management.

LIVING & WORKING IN A ‘PORNIFIED’ WORLD

This training day is of interest to professionals working with adults and young people with an online sexual conviction or internet based harmful sexual behaviour. It will enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of online pornography and the latest developments in technology around cybersex, and how this impacts on individuals’ thoughts, feelings, behaviour and possible online offending.
