Young People’s Circles Coordinator, Devon (part-time)
£32k pro-rata. Home based. 3 days (21 hours) per week
12 month fixed term contract (extension subject to further funding)
Your experience of working with young people with harmful sexual behaviour will be coupled with significant knowledge and understanding in this field. You will be passionate about enabling young people to reach their potential with a deep understanding of the complexities. You will recruit, train, coordinate and supervise small groups of community volunteers to support young people (and families), enabling them to make safe choices; take responsibility for their behaviour; engage in positive activities; improve their social connections; enhance their self-worth. You will assess referrals, coordinate and monitor provision and provide progress updates. Multi-agency work is essential and you will work closely with independent evaluators contributing to a robust evidence base.
Circles South West is the independent regional charity that prevents sexual abuse by reducing the risk of sexual re-offending. ‘Circles of Support and Accountability’ enable local volunteers to positively impact on the safe integration of people who have sexually harmed. Working closely with social care, youth offending teams, probation and police, we provide a complementary risk management approach, making our communities safer.
