Welcoming Barbara van der Eerden to Circles South West
Circles South West is delighted to announce the newest addition to their staff team, Barbara van der Eerden. Barbara joins the organisation with a wealth of experience and a passion for community safety and rehabilitation. She brings extensive experience in offender rehabilitation having worked for many years for the Probation Service, including as a case manager and programmes facilitator.
As a Circles Coordinator Barbara’s main role is coordinating Circles of Support and Accountability, working together with volunteers and people convicted of sexual offences to prevent further victims. She will also co-facilitate Breaking the Cycle, a groupwork programme for women with children whose partner or ex-partner has sexually abused children. Barbara’s approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, aiming to create a safer community for everyone.
Barbara expressed her excitement about joining Circles South West, stating, “I am thrilled to be part of such a dedicated team. The work that Circles South West does is incredibly important, and I am eager to contribute to their mission of preventing further sexual abuse and supporting safe reintegration.”
As Barbara settles into her new role, she is looking forward to collaborating with colleagues and community partners to continue the vital work of Circles South West. Her addition to the team marks a continuation of appointing very experienced, talented and dedicated staff to the organisation, promising innovative approaches and strengthened support for those in need.
