Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2026

This week, from 2–8 February 2026, we join people and organisations across the UK in recognising Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week — a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and encouraging open, honest conversations about issues that are too often hidden in silence.
Sexual violence causes profound and lasting harm. Survivors must always be believed, supported, and centred.
At Circles South West, our work is about prevention and public protection.
We work with people who have committed sexual harm to stop further offending.
This means:
- Naming abuse clearly and without minimisation
- Requiring individuals to take full responsibility for their actions
- Challenging harmful attitudes, entitlement, and patterns of behaviour
- Reducing the risk of future harm to others
This work is not about excuses, sympathy, or second chances without accountability.
It is about safety, responsibility, and preventing further victims.
Effective responses to sexual violence must include both survivor support and robust work to stop abuse happening again.
